2.01 POWDERED COATING
A. Aluminum surfaces shall receive "Archkote
6000" Powdered Coating by Arch Aluminum and Glass Co.,
Inc. 10200 NW 67th Street Tamarac, FL. 33321, (800) 432-8132.
1. Provide manufacturer's written six year guaranty
to meet requirements of AAMA 605.2-90.
2. Color shall be RAL #________ (Architect to select
color number from Arch Aluminum & Glass Co., Inc.
color selection chart).
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION FOR POWDERED COATING
A. Follow manufacturer's recommendations
for preparation of metal surfaces to receive powdered coating.
B. Apply powder coating system according to manufacturer's
published recommendations.
1. Pneumatically feed dry powder to spray
gun. Impact a low amperage, high voltage charge to the
powder.
2. Uniformly spray apply powdered coating to electrically
grounded metal surfaces.
3. Finished surfaces shall be fully and
uniformly coated without pinholes, bubbles, sag, runs,
lumps, marks or discoloration. Surface finish shall be
of uniform color, texture and gloss.
